Computer Status – Protected.

Microsoft Security Essentials did something odd today. I checked the “Update” tab and it showed me that the definitions were created on 6/28/2009. That’s 2 days ago. I clicked “Update” and it appeared to download & install an update to the virus definitions. The Virus & Spyware definitions versions didn’t change, but the “Definitions created on” date changed to “6/30/2009 at 3:30 AM.” I surfed a few websites that Google said were hosting malicious software as a test, and everything seemed ok. I also ran some test viruses through the PC and it caught them right away.
