HTC Mytouch 3G = awesome!

September 12th, 2009 by stuffaboutlife | Filed under Technology.

I got a HTC Mytouch 3G yesterday to replace my ailing Blackberry Curve 8320. It’s been 24 hours, and I am absolutely thrilled with the new phone. Since I’ve been a T-Mobile customer for several years, I was due for a full upgrade, which helped out quite a bit. The 3G speeds are great, the screen is bright and easy to see, crisp graphics, great call quality, and basically everything that I’d want in a phone. I use Pandora a lot and Facebook as well, and there are plenty of cheap/free applications in the Android Marketplace.

If you’re a new T-Mobile customer, there’s a promotion that drops the price of the Mytouch 3G to $99 with a new activation. Details here, and you can also just call customer care too. So far, the phone is worth every penny. I have also not experienced the battery life issues that plagued the HTC G1 either. So far, it seems ok. I got up around 0800 and have been using the phone just like I’d use my Blackberry all day and I still have ample battery life left. (It’s now around 1730)

Awesome!
